final fantasy is greatly amazing.

I thank God for emulators. I enjoy playing video games and probably the best series I have ever played would be Final Fantasy. Probably the most famous Final Fantasy game is Final Fantasy VII where the main character is Cloud Strife.

My first encounter with this game series was when my older brother had picked up Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSX. Around the same time he also received Final Fantasy VII.

Later on, he got a disc from Pizza Hut. It was a demo disc with the newest Final Fantasy game on it; Final Fantasy VIII. I remember taking the game and playing the demo over and over in private, mashing buttons, having no clue what I was doing. I still own that disc to this day.

Eventually, I forgot about Final Fantasy, not that I even really cared for it in the first place. It was just a dumb old game to play...
AND THEN the Kingdom Hearts series came out. The Kingdom Hearts series involved the story of a boy with a key for a weapon. The series incorporated Final Fantasy and Disney characters in the same game. It was amazing. I eventually got the Game Boy Advance game of Kingdom Hearts from my grandmother. I remember the price, too. $43.98, I believe.

Having gotten all the other Kingdom Hearts games by 2005, I decided to try out Final Fantasy. So on my Christmas wishlist would contain sever of the Final Fantasy games. I got Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy VII. Wow.

Now, I can't stop my amazing obsession with Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. Sure it's childish and I've toned down a little on it, but it's a great series, and if you haven't checked it out, grab one now, because you're missing out on one fairy tale story that will never end.

tin man wants a heart

There was a boy that was born without a heart. The parents did not want the boy to die, so they used all their money to purchase health support for him. They were broke, living on the streets with a son owning an fake heart. The parents were saddened that they were out of money and committed suicide. The boy was sad.

The boy grew up, year by year, only surviving with a fake heart and the other boys that lived on the streets. Later, when the boy was eleven, a teacher found him and took him in. She taught him how to read and write, and the boy was happy. She read him The Wizard of Oz every night, teaching him the fantasy world. One day, she reads a part where Dorothy meets the Tin Man. "That's what I am, isn't it?... A tin man without a heart."

When he was eighteen, he decided to move away. He left a note in the Teacher's room. He wanted to find a heart.

a day in the life

It's after 3rd period and I walk someone to her locker as usual, while she waits for her boyfriend. We start a conversation that I don't remember, but it ended in laughter. My eighth-grade "friend" walks up to me and says, "Liam, stop flirting." He laughs like it's hilarious. My other friends boyfriend shows up; a sign for me to leave. He glances at me and I look forward and start to walk to class. My eighth-grade friend trails after me. "She broke up with you for him?" He tosses me around the hall and takes off to class.
And suddenly I felt happy.

Why does it feel so much like winter recently? I love winter. Thank you, god, for bringing winter to us early. Winter makes me feel happy.

Bat-Freak vs. The Fight of the Century

Ah, the fight of the century; Superman vs. Batman. I have waited to find some sort of movie with Superman and Batman, but, sure, there were references to "Gotham City" and "Metropolis" but that's it. Not even mentioning the Daily Planet or Bruce Wayne in either of the heroic movies. But the REAL reason I'm doing this rant is because of my friend, who was complaining about seeing Superman in a Batman comic.

He asked why Superman was in the comic, fighting Batman, and it was hard for me to explain. I knew why, I didn't understand what to say, though. I told him that they were both in the DC Universe, which is built up of all the comic book heroes, that they all live in the same world, in some way, which is why the Justice League of America is what it is. He didn't know of the JLA either, so it was a fail for me to tell him.
